As I paint and sketch in my studio, I have recently been listening to "The Sounds of Grand Canyon," which was recorded on location. The combination of the Navajo flute, solo piano, and guitar, combined with bird songs and water fall music, reminds me of the great healing power of nature. Nature provides us with peace and relaxation that can be difficult to find in our often busy, technology-driven world.
The intention with my current collection is to emulate the peaceful essence of nature with paintings of song birds and owls, forest scenes, and horizons. The horizon line in Moving into Stillness is intended to suggest a stable, relaxed comfort and a restful peace.
